There is a LOT of construction going on all around EPCOT right now as part of the EPCOT Transformation.
Over in the France pavilion specifically, we’ve been keeping a close eye on the construction going on in the expansion area. We’ll soon be able to ride on Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure and devour some delicious crepes at Le Creperie de Paris when both open in October of this year. But that’s not the only work being done in this pavilion. Today we spotted some more construction going on in this spot.
As we walked past the France pavilion today we spotted something new — construction barriers were up near one of the decor pieces right on the outside of the pavilion.
Disney was also redirecting the line of guests waiting for the Fleur de Lys booth at the Taste of EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival around this construction.
We’re not entirely sure what type of work is being done in that area or why it was all blocked off. We’ll keep an eye out for more updates and let you know what we see.
In the meantime, we’ll just be waiting over here with our Remy talking plush and Remy ears for the day when Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure opens!
Aside from this small construction, there are a bunch of other refurbishments and construction projects going on all around Disney World. The Guardians of the Galaxy coaster is still underway in EPCOT, the TRON ride is being constructed in Magic Kingdom although its opening is likely delayed, and guest rooms at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort are getting a Moana-inspired makeover.
We’ll continue to watch for more construction updates all over Disney and let you know what we see.
