In addition to White Castle, Portillo’s is opening a new location near Disney World so we’ll finally be able to get our Chicago-style fix without having to bear the cold! But, we’re going to have to wait a little while longer because the opening date has been delayed…again.
According to Spectrum News, Portillo’s has announced that they will not open as expected on March 23rd. The restaurant will be the first building to open in the brand new development area located in the Village at O-Town West complex near Disney World. And, because of that, there are still some finishing touches that need to be completed before it can open.

If you’re not familiar with this northern restaurant, Portillo’s serves up Italian Vienna beef sandwiches, char-broiled burgers, and Chicago-style Vienna beef hot dogs. Plus, they are known for their chocolate cake, but more importantly for their chocolate cake milkshake (!!). Right now, you can get your fix at two Florida locations (Tampa and Brandon) but that doesn’t make this new addition any less exciting!
