Review: EPCOT’s Mixing Up Peach Liquor and Strawberry MILK…and We’re Not Mad About It

Greetings from EPCOT’s lovely China pavilion! We’re stopping for a sip at the Joy of Tea. This cute kiosk serves up more than the name implies.

Ok, sure, there’s tea. In fact, our most recent drink here was the yummy Shanghai Milk Candy Bubble Tea. But you’ll also find a few cocktails like the famous Tipsy Ducks in Love up for grabs, too. Today, though, we came across a Drink Special featuring a truly unexpected ingredient…

We noticed the sign for something simply called the “Drink Special” listing a combo unlike any we’ve had here — or just about anywhere in the park — before. It’s peach liquor with fresh strawberry milk. (Nope. No tea. 😉 )

Looks like strawberry milk is having a moment. So, why don’t we give this a go?

Right off the bat, we noticed that the peach liquor is poured right on top, so we mixed it well on our own before drinking, and recommend you do the same.

Now before we dive in, I want to mention the weather — we’re talking mid-80s here today. I don’t know about you, but on a hot day like today, the thought of a big glass of milk doesn’t exactly strike me as refreshing. But the real surprise here is that this drink is exactly that!

Clearly, strawberry milk is not something that is going to appeal to everybody no matter what the weather is like. But together with the ice and the peach flavor we found it to be quite enjoyable!

BUT, we do offer one more word of warning: the texture is also going to be off-putting for some. You can tell just by looking at it that the milk is fresh. We thought it was delicious, but the truth is that this drink at the Joy of Tea won’t be everyone’s… umm, cup of tea. Still, for $11.00 we think this pink drink is a nice sip for spring!
