Disney+ has been all the rage lately! You’d have to have been cryogenically frozen to escape the buzz surrounding WandaVision or Raya and the Last Dragon, not to mention the onslaught of upcoming shows and movies!
But with all the hoopla, it might behoove you to remember that Disney+ is increasing its prices VERY soon, so it’s good to be prepared!
Listen, between Daylight Saving Time and wintry groundhogs and confusion about what year we’re living in, there’s a LOT to keep track of nowadays, so you could totally be forgiven for missing the Disney+ price increase memo.
But that’s what we’re here for! To remind you that on March 26th, the Disney Bundle increases its monthly price from $12.99 to $13.99. Or, if you just pay for Disney+ on its own, the monthly cost will increase from $6.99 to $7.99.
Unless you want to change anything, your account will automatically renew at the new rate, with whatever payment method you have on file. And unless you enjoy end-of-year surprises about money you didn’t realize you were spending, it’s good to at least be aware of it!
If the extra dollar feels a little too much for you, you’ll need to cancel your subscription BEFORE March 26th, in order to avoid that extra charge.
We found a way to avoid the price increase, and keep paying $6.99 monthly (at least until August)! If you subscribe before March 26th as monthly member, you will continue to pay the current price up to August 23rd, 2021. However, you will have to pay the new price immediately if you sign up on or after March 26th.
As we’ve seen Disney concentrate a TON of resources into Disney+, it’s clear that these price increases are all part of a grander, long-term plan to focus on the streamer as a major revenue source. And really, with SO MUCH content on there, you certainly get your money’s worth!
As usual, we’ll keep you up to date on the latest news regarding ALL things Disney+, so keep it here! Unless of course you’re busy bingeing (or re-bingeing) WandaVision… .
