Hello from Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
We’ve been BUSY trying all the St. Patrick’s Day food around Disney World, but that doesn’t mean we’ve forgotten about the parks’ other eats and treats! Among St. Paddy’s cupcakes, ice cream sammies, and shakes, we still found time for an off-the-menu sip at Animal Kingdom!
You may be familiar with the Dunbar Margarita at Thirsty River Bar and Trek Snacks. It’s got Jose Cuervo Gold tequila, triple sec, ginger, sweet-and-sour mix, and fresh lime juice. Okay, that all sounds great, right? But the Avalanche Margarita takes that and makes it FROZEN. And the end result is pretty fun!
The Avalanche Margarita is also at Thirsty River Bar and Trek Snacks. The ONLY difference between it and the Dunbar Margarita is that it’s frozen and is a bright blue color! When we asked where that mystery blue came from, the bartender wasn’t too sure because the drink is premixed (womp, womp). But it could be blue curaçao!
This margarita comes with a salt rim. If you prefer your rim sugared, you’re outta luck, because they don’t have any sugar here! The marg itself wasn’t sour or tart — it was actually a little bit sweet! We do wish the blue would have added a fun flavor, but it was tasteless.
