There’s BIG news about the coronavirus vaccine distribution in the United States tonight.
Previously, we’ve learned that the U.S. should have enough vaccines for every adult by May, and that people who have been fully vaccinated can safely gather together indoors without face coverings on (though orders about whether or not you can do that in indoor public places varies by state).
Tonight, we’re likely to hear more about the vaccine rollout across America. President Joe Biden is expected to announce that he will direct states to make all adults eligible for COVID-19 vaccines by May 1, according to CNBC.
Biden is also expected to say that the vaccine rollout in the U.S. will be at a point this summer where Americans can safely gather in small groups by the Fourth of July! Biden’s full remarks will be given at 8 PM ET tonight.
It may be a long time until we’re back to “normal,” but normal activities seem to be on course to resume some day. In the meanwhile, Disney World’s face mask policies remain in place as do capacity limitations, social distancing markers, and enhanced health and safety measures.
When more news about the COVID-19 vaccine is available and what any developments may mean for your Disney vacation, whether its at Disney World or an expected-to-reopen-soon Disneyland Resort, we will be sure to let you know.
