Review: Does Crawfish Belong on a Hot Dog?! Disney World Says Yes.

There are plenty of quick snack stands to stop at for a bite in Disney Springs!

We’re fans of AristoCrepes and The Daily Poutine, and we like to stop by Sunshine Churros if we’re in a mood for a unique sweet treat. Today, we stopped by B.B. Wolf’s Sausage Co., but it wasn’t just for fun. We’re here to try the newest item on the menu — the Mardi Gras Smoked Crawdog!

For a limited time, you’ll find the Mardi Gras Smoked Crawdog on the menu at this location! It’s $11.99 and made of smoked andouille sausage topped with crawfish, lemon caper aioli, and creole pepper sauce.

That thing is piled high with Cajun goodness — look at all those toppings! We noticed that our dog was topped with some onions and peppers that weren’t mentioned on the menu and PLENTY of crawfish.

As far as the flavor goes, we could definitely get the spiciness in this snack. Our reporter described it as a “medium level of spice — no burning, but there’s a kick!” The aioli has a lot of flavor, but it’s not so overwhelming that it overpowers the other elements.

Overall the pairing of these toppings was excellent! We would definitely try this a second time. Because of everything loaded on top, you could probably split this with a friend. However, you may want to skip the crawdog if you don’t like spicy food or Cajun flavors.

This isn’t the only over-the-top dog we’ve seen in Disney Springs. They also just released a hot dog topped with things like spicy peanut butter. You can read our full review of that eat here.
