Dreaming of sailing the seas, watching some amazing live shows, singing Disney karaoke, and eating ALL kinds of delicious food aboard Disney Cruise Line?

Disney Cruise Line
So far, Disney Cruise Line has canceled sailings through April, select sailings in May, and select sailings over 7 nights. Back in November of 2020, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (DCDC) created a risk Level 4 Travel Notice for cruising. In response to that Level 4 Travel Notice, Disney has now placed an advisory on its website for future cruisers and how they may be impacted.
Previously, the CDC classified cruising as a Level 3 risk, but in November the CDC created a higher level, Level 4, to better illustrate the present risks. And, cruising was officially categorized as a Level 4 risk.

Generally, the Level 4 travel notice includes recommendations for all people to avoid cruise ship travel due to the increased risk of person-to-person spread on board. For those who choose to go cruising, there are recommendations regarding when to get tested after the trip and the amount of time to quarantine.

With this Level 4 Travel Notice still in place for cruising, Disney has added a notice on their Disney Cruise Line website about it. Specifically, Disney’s notice advises guests that the CDC has issued a Level 4 Travel Notice recommending that all people avoid travel on cruise ships. Disney also notes that if a threshold of COVID-19 is detected on board the cruise ship during a voyage, that voyage will be “ended immediately.”

The ship will then return to its U.S. port of embarkation. Your subsequent travel, including your return home, may then be restricted or delayed depending on the guidelines in place. You can read the full notice from Disney Cruise Line below.

So far, again, cruises have been canceled through April, with select ones canceled in May, and other cruises over 7 nights long canceled as well. Disney Cruise Line has also extended their flexible cancellation policy and final payment deadlines. We’ll continue to look for more updates on Disney Cruise Line and let you know what we find.
