Downtown Disney’s New ‘Star Wars’ Trading Post Gets an Opening Date!

There’s been lots of excitement at Disneyland’s Downtown Disney District recently.

As restaurants gradually reopen, we’ve also seen the transformation of Rainforest Café into what is expected to become the Star Wars Trading Post (which we previewed a while back). And now, we have an official opening date for the new spot!

Star Wars Trading Post will open on February 19th, and will sell Galaxy’s Edge merchandise in an Imagineer-designed building. Guests will enter a hidden Resistance jungle base to shop new collections and even the Paddy Frog light-up sipper.

The original Star Wars Trading Post took over WonderGround Gallery’s spot in Downtown Disney when it opened last fall. Now, WonderGround Gallery will reclaim that space and will also reopen on February 19th!

Legacy Passholders will have an opportunity to make a reservation for a special preview event of the Star Wars Trading Post from Feb. 16 – Feb. 18. More information will be shared soon. As soon as it is, we will give you all the details!
