This year, the Disney Vacation Club is celebrating its 30th Anniversary!

So far, we’ve seen a shirt, phone case, and more released to celebrate this special occasion. But, tomorrow, DVC Members can continue the celebrations by tuning in to a special, musical virtual event!

The Disney Vacation Club events website is now promoting a special event that is “Coming Soon.” The event is called “We Go On” and it is a virtual event that Members will be able to stream at home.

The event is set to take place on January 28th and is described as a “musical streaming event” that is “made for Members.”

Members will join host Ryan March for this special event which will feature “uplifting entertainment” with performances by Keala Settle (which you might recognize from her role in The Greatest Showman), and the Voices of Liberty. And Disney has shared that Members “might just spot some other familiar faces with special talents to share!”

Members can check their email for a video link to view the full-length musical production. Want a glimpse of this virtual event? Check out the video below of Keala Settle as she shares the special meaning behind the song “it’s a small world” and performs the song!

The DVC page shares a number of viewing tips, including mirroring from your computer or mobile device to your TV, and plugging in your devices so you don’t run out of battery, as well as some fun reminders to keep your hands and arms inside during the program. There’s also an option you can tap in the corner of the screen to get more tips for screen mirroring.

Other than those few things that have been shared, not much is known about this special event. We Go On is the name of the closing song that was used for EPCOT’s IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth nighttime spectacular. The song was written by Don Dorsey and performed by Kellie Coffey.

The Orlando Sentinel actually interviewed Don Dorsey back in 2019 about when he wrote the song. Dorsey said “As humans, you know, we fight to survive, we move into tomorrow as best we can. It wasn’t going to be ‘Rah, rah, it’s the millennium,’ I didn’t want to take it as that kind of a celebration. It was really more of a moment to recognize.”

IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth

IllumiNations came to a close back in 2019, and was temporarily replaced by EPCOT Forever. Harmonious is the new fireworks spectacular that is set to open in EPCOT at some point in the future.

We’re not exactly sure how this DVC event will tie in to or be inspired by We Go On specifically. But, we’ll be on the lookout for more details!
