Animal Kingdom Vice President Djuan Rivers Retiring After 30 Years with the Walt Disney Company

Cast Members often go the extra mile to make magic and bring the spirit of the parks to life. It was recently announced that another Disney Cast Member will be moving on to the next big thing! Djuan Rivers, the Vice President of Disney’s Animal Kingdom will be retiring.

Rivers will be retiring after thirty years of being with the company, as reported by the Orlando Sentinel. Rivers has held a variety of positions across Disney Parks, including Vice President of Disney’s Aulani Resort and Spa, Vice President of Downtown Disney, Vice President for Hotels and Business Solutions at Disneyland Paris, and beyond.

Rivers has been in charge of Animal Kingdom since 2014 and oversaw the completion of Pandora — The World of Avatar.
