There’s a new way to get voyaging with Disney!
Though Adventures by Disney is still suspending departures, the travel service announced a NEW offering today. Head out into nature with the Adventures by Disney Expedition Cruising!
Expedition Cruising is a new offering that lets guests take a smaller cruising vessel to exotic locations such as Antarctica and Patagonia, and the Galápagos Islands. The trips offer planned and spontaneous activities for adults and families.
This new offering is pretty different from other Adventures by Disney trips. Usually, these experiences immerse you in the culture of your destination, whereas Expedition Cruising immerses you in the nature of the destination. You’ll sail on a small, amenity-filled vessel with Zodiac watercraft to take you closer to natural experiences.
These trips are also headed to more environmentally sensitive areas, so the ships have a focus on reducing impact. Plus, you’ll have experts on board with you such as naturalists who are helping to keep the focus on the environment.
These experts are always on the lookout to catch spontaneous natural occurrences and the trip’s schedule has a lot of flexibility to allow for surprise experiences such as a surprise visit from penguins or sea lions.
The two Expedition Cruises being offered at this time include the Antarctica & Patagonia Expedition Cruise and the Ecuador Expedition Cruise to the Galápagos Islands. Both of these expeditions will open for booking for Adventure Insiders on January 19th; Disney Vacation Club, Disney Cruise Line Platinum and Gold Castaway Club, and Golden Oak residents on January 21st; and the general public on January 22nd.
