So, when Disney announced that there’s a new secret menu item at the Hot Diggity Dog Food Truck at Disney Springs, we sprung into action! (Question: Is a secret menu item really a secret if it’s all over TikTok?!)

Here’s the deal: You can order the King Dog at this West Side Disney Springs food truck from 6PM to close by saying the secret phrase: “Hot Dog, Hot Dog, Hot Diggity Dog!”

When you say the secret word, what do you get?! An All-Beef Hot Dog in a French Toast Batter Dipped and Cereal-Crusted Bun, topped with a Spicy Peanut Butter Spread, Banana Honey Mustard, Chipotle-Berry Preserves, and pieces of Billionares Bacon. The hotdog is served with chips and a drink of your choice.

That’s A LOT. Just look at the bun alone!

Is the King Dog worthy of a crown or a royal fail? When we tried it, yeah, we thought there was A LOT going on! The spicy peanut butter sauce was by far the most predominant flavor and kind of overwhelmed some of the other elements. And it does have a bit of heat.

When it came to the banana honey mustard, we really couldn’t taste anything that resembled banana. The bun was mega soggy, which isn’t much of a shocker since this thins is dripping in condiments. Between the peanut butter, cereal, and banana ingredients, we did pick up on a light fruity sweetness. And the bacon has a nice smoky flavor, but sadly it’s easily lost among all the other flavors.

Between the peanut butter, cereal bun, and the bacon, this reminded us a lot of breakfast! But then, well, there’s the all-beef frank, which just clashed with the rest of the flavors. And once you reach that point your quickly reminded that you’re eating a hot dog with LOTS of random breakfast-like flavors on top.

If you’re looking for something totally over-the-top and love a crazy food combo, give the King Dog a try! It’s kind of fun to try something insane every now and then, after all! But if you’re looking for a genuinely delicious treat, well, there are other options at Disney Springs.

This over-the-top hot dog costs $11.75. Say the secret phrase (remember: “Hot dog, hot dog, hot diggity dog!”) and order it from now through January 25th from 6PM to the food truck’s closing. After that, it will be on the menu for the general public, according to the Disney Parks’ TikTok. And when that arrives, along with any other crazy concoctions, you know we’ll fill you in!
