We LOVE it when our Disney World treats come with hidden surprises!
We were greeting the elephants and monkeys at Disney’s Animal Kingdom today. All that socializing made us a little tired. We decided to stop into Creature Comforts for a Starbucks coffee and check out the treat case. A couple new treats caught our eye. One dessert, in particular, attracted us immediately. Mickey was looking fetching in animal print so we picked it up to see if it’s as wildly tasty as it looks!
The Starbucks sign called the treat a Cheetah Brownie and we soon realized the dessert had a hidden surprise! The brownie…is actually a brookie! The brownie is combined with a chocolate chip cookie to make an awesome treat. We’re big fans of brookies in all forms, but this one had WAY more to it.
It was also topped with mocha mousse and filled with crispy chocolate pearls. The edge was covered in chocolate buttercream and crushed coffee toffee pearls. The Cheetah Brownie is $5.49.
That’s A LOT of ingredients packed into one “brownie.” So, do all of these elements work together? First of all, we love that it’s a surprise brookie! This definitely added some extra textures and flavors. We also really enjoyed the mocha mousse too. We were wary that it would be heavy on the coffee, but the mocha flavoring wasn’t too rich. It was creamy and light! The chocolate pearls were another surprise and added some texture.
We do wish that the mousse was chocolate instead of mocha. It would have paired nicely with the chocolate from the brownie and cookie. However, coffee and brookie fans will like this dessert! Those who don’t enjoy coffee-flavored items may want to avoid the Cheetah Brownie.
Our consensus is that the Cheetah Brownie is fun for pictures AND great with all the hidden surprises! We enjoyed all the different elements in this treat and hope to find more hidden brookies in the future!
