When Disney World reopened, many of the resort’s entertainment options were either modified or shut down due to new health and safety guidelines in place at the parks.
Fantasmic! at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
This included much of the parks’ nighttime entertainment options, including the Happily Ever After fireworks show at Magic Kingdom and Fantasmic! at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Aerial photos taken in October showed the Fantasmic! lagoon drained, but it seems Disney hasn’t completely forgotten about the attraction because it just got an upgrade on the My Disney Experience app map! Here’s what the map of Hollywood Studios looks like as a whole:

But when you start to zoom into Fantasmic!, something begins to form there where the amphitheater is. It reveals a small, but very familiar figure.

Zooming in all the way reveals Sorcerer Mickey on top of the mountain at Fantasmic!

Now, we can’t say for sure this means that Fantasmic! may return soon — and Disney has not announced anything about it. But maybe it means that there’s hope we’ll see the nighttime spectacular come back in 2021! We’ll be sure to keep you updated if we find out more!
