Disney World is FULL of all kinds of incredible Christmas trees, beautiful holiday decorations, and (of course) delicious and festive snacks!

Swan Christmas decorations
While we’ve already checked out the elegant holiday decor over at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort, today we found something at the Swan that combines holiday decorations and sweet treats — the resort’s incredible Santa Chocolate Display!
The Swan and Dolphin Resort have a tradition of making a giant Santa sculpture out of chocolate during the holidays, and thankfully jolly old St. Nicholas is back once again in a fantastic display. In this year’s display, you’ll spot Santa sitting on his chair, a beautiful tree, a fireplace where the stockings have been hung with care, a train, a nutcracker, and lots of presents all around. The pieces in this display are made entirely out of edible material — that includes the tree, train, nutcracker, Santa, and the fondant covered presents and bows.

Chocolate Santa
The display was made by award-winning Executive Pastry Chef Laurent Branlard and his team.

The entire display took 960 man hours to construct, is made of over 2,000 pounds of chocolate, and (if you were to eat it) would be OVER 6,000,000 calories! Honestly though, these pieces all look just too beautiful to eat. And, actually, no tasting of this treat is allowed, so you can save those calories for some snacks over at EPCOT’s International Festival of the Holidays.

You can check out the display right now in the lobby at the Swan Resort. The Swan and Dolphin Resort are also hosting a number of other festive activities including the chance to meet Santa, in-room holiday movies, and more. Sounds like a great way to celebrate the holiday season!
