Well, we were in for a glorious surprise today!
As you might have heard, Cinderella’s Royal Table is set to reopen in Magic Kingdom tomorrow. Well, you can imagine our surprise when it soft-opened TODAY. And with a 5 MINUTE wait at that, which is shocking if you know how in demand this place tends to be. Of course, we got ourselves a table — and you’ll never believe WHO we saw!
When we headed into Cinderella Castle, we noticed a sign up that suggested some of the castle royalty might stop by as a surprise. It also asked guests to remain seated and have their cameras ready. Ooh!
As we were enjoying the ambiance of Cinderella Castle and getting ready to dine on some hopefully-yummy food, some royal music began playing and a familiar figure in a swishy blue dress strolled into the dining room.
Yes! It’s Cinderella, herself! When Cinderella’s Royal Table announced its reopening, they noted that there would be NO character interactions during the dining experience (which made us a little skeptical of the still-too-high cost).
After seeing Beast make surprise appearances when Be Our Guests reopened, we thought Disney might try to do something similar at Cinderella’s Royal Table. But, honestly, we weren’t too sure if Cinderella would make an appearance since the princesses do not wear masks and Disney has ensured that they keep a substantial distance from each other and guests.
But she did show up to surprise us all!!
Now, Cindy’s appearance was pretty brief. She simply strolled in at a distance from guests, gave us a twirl, waved, and continued on her way. We did not have the opportunity to greet her or take photos with her. But still, it was a nice little surprise! And it made the hefty price tag of this meal feel a (little) better.

At the end of our meal, we were given a souvenir from Cinderella herself (much like you’ll receive at any modified character dining experience in Disney World right now). The card had a pretty portrait of Cinderella on one side…
…and look! It’s Cindy’s signature on the back!
We were certainly shocked that our host visited today! Stay tuned for MORE coverage on the reopening of Cinderella’s Royal Table!
