The First-Of-Its-Kind Science-Fiction Series ‘Iwájú’ is Coming to Disney+!

As much as we adore remakes of past Disney movies, it’s refreshing to see something totally new and unique!

We’ve seen a complete variety of entertainment coming to Disney+ in the future from the Walt Disney Company’s Investor Day, but one show in particular has caught our attention.

For the first time EVER, Disney Animation Studios is teaming up with a Pan-African entertainment company called Kugali to create Iwájú! This science-fiction series will focus on African stories created by African artists.

Although Disney did not divulge too much detail yet, a first-of-its-kind project sounds super exciting! You can expect this show to arrive on Disney+ in 2022, but in the meantime, there is SO much to watch!
