Review: These Cucumber Chips Are…Refreshing? We're Trying New Snacks in EPCOT's China Pavilion!

We have had quite a few…interesting chip flavors from the China pavilion in EPCOT!

From Salty Egg & Shrimp to Honey Butter, it’s been quite the culinary adventure. And now, we’re back in the China pavilion for more unique treats! Our contenders for this snack challenge: Cucumber flavored chips and Spicy Crayfish flavored chips! Could either of these be a new favorite? We’re about to find out!

We found both of these unique chip creations in the House of Good Fortune gift shop at the China pavilion in EPCOT. It seems new flavors keep appearing at this spot, so even if these two don’t sound like something you’d want to try, be sure to stop by there often to see what new creations they have available!

Cucumber and Spicy Crayfish Chips!

Alright, let’s get into it! First up, we have the Spicy Crayfish Flavored chips.

These chips were available for $5.25 and Annual Passholder discounts applied to them, so you can get them for a bit of a discount.

When we opened the bag, we noticed right away that these chips had quite the pungent smell, so that’s definitely something you’ll want to be prepared for.

In terms of taste, these reminded us a lot of the Spicy Hot Pot flavored chips. They were salty with a hint of spiciness, but the spiciness wasn’t overwhelming. In fact, we kind of wish it was a bit hotter. The chips weren’t SUPER fishy in terms of flavor either. Instead, they were more salty and spicy.

Would we eat these chips again? Ummm…that’s gonna be a “no” from us dawg, but we can say it was a unique chip tasting experience!

Next, we move on to our other contender — the Cucumber Flavored Chips.

These were also priced at $5.25, and you could use your Annual Passholder discount when purchasing them.

Can a chip actually be refreshing? Because that’s strangely exactly how we’d describe these. They tasted like cucumber water and salt, and were totally unique but actually pretty good.

We’d go so far as to say that we’d actually eat these again! Who knew chips could capture that refreshing taste of cucumber water?

Overall, if you’re looking to eat something really unique while at EPCOT, these chips are a great choice! They’re not terribly expensive and you can sample some very interesting flavors. If you’re looking some slightly less adventurous options, however, we’d recommend you check out one of the many restaurants around EPCOT or even try some of the delicious options at the Taste of EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays!
