Spaceship Earth in EPCOT Is Having Technical Difficulties Today

We’ve seen a LOT of malfunctions in the Disney World parks this year.

We’ve seen José break down on the Gran Fiesta Tour, Elsa forget the words to her signature song, and most recently, we saw Buzz Lightyear go speechless. We can’t blame them, it’s been a pretty tough year for sure. Today, yet another Disney attraction is having issues — Spaceship Earth!

When walking through EPCOT last night, we noticed that the ride queue was empty and the entrance was blocked. Rides frequently have downtime in Disney World, so it’s usually not a big deal, but this morning Spaceship Earth was still closed.

Spaceship Earth Closed for Technical Difficulties

When we spoke to the Cast Members stationed at the entrance of the attraction, they said it was closed due to technical difficulties. They shared that the ride would be down “until further notice.”

“Until further notice” means that we may or may not see this ride open up today. We’ll continue to share any updates we get on the subject!
