When Walt Disney World reopened, many of our favorite restaurants and snack stands sadly stayed closed.

Casey’s Corner is Still Closed

Casey’s Corner, the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor, Woody’s Lunchbox, and many more of the places we love are still not open for business. As the crowds slowly returned to Disney World, we saw some restaurants begin to open part-time, and now one of those locations has reopened completely!

Sommerfest in EPCOT’s Germany pavilion is home to some great German snacks and drinks, and we’re glad to see it back full-time!

Not long after the parks reopened, Sommerfest joined the list of open restaurants — though it was only open on the weekends. They opened with a limited menu, and it seems that all the previous food options have not yet returned.

The only food option currently is the Jumbo Pretzel, although there are a few beer and wine options, as well as some non-alcoholic drinks.

This location is tucked in the back of the pavilion, and the menu typically includes bratwursts and a Nudel Gratin that we LOVE! We hope that these items return to Sommerfest soon! And you know we will let ya know if and when they do.

We’ll keep you updated on any menu changes that we spot here, as well as any other restaurant news in Walt Disney World. We’re thankful to see restaurants reopening, because Disney food is our thing!
