We have definitely had our fair share of snacks and treats at BoardWalk Bakery!
But today we’re moving away from the sweet and headed to a totally savory (and delicious) sandwich that’s a holiday delight!
Love ALL things Thanksgiving? Wish you could have turkey, stuffing, and gravy every day? Then we’ve got the sandwich for you! Today, we got to try the Gobbler Sandwich from BoardWalk Bakery which is made with Hot Roasted Turkey, Italian Sausage Stuffing, Cranberry Relish, and Turkey Gravy on House Baked Ciabatta!
The sandwich comes with chips and is priced at $10.49.
The first thing we noticed is that this sandwich is not made to order. At least when we ordered it, the sandwiches were pre-made and sitting in the case. They were then toasted up in a toaster oven, making them all warm and yummy. That’s just something to keep in mind.
We’ve had the holiday sandwich over at Earl of Sandwich, and we JUST tried a sandwich at Fort Wilderness which has some similar ingredients to this one — so how did this sandwich hold up? We think the Gobbler Sandwich from BoardWalk Bakery is REALLY GOOD! The cranberry sauce is tangy and sweet, which compliments the stuffing and turkey very well.
The gravy on the top bun makes the sandwich moist in a great way. And the Italian Sausage Stuffing was phenomenal!
What would we change about this sandwich? Honestly, NOTHING! It was so delicious! If you love Thanksgiving food, this is an awesome option for you to grab for lunch. Then you can sit down on the BoardWalk and enjoy it while taking in the beautiful view. If you’re going to bring this sandwich back to your room or save some for later, you’ll want to put a note on it to make sure no steals it from you (although that didn’t save Ross — Friends fan know what we’re talking about here).
Overall, this meal was a total holiday delight! We’ll definitely let you know if we find any other must-try holiday items around Disney World!
