NEWS: Some ‘Citizens of Hollywood’ Entertainers Are Laid Off From Hollywood Studios

The Citizens of Hollywood have added incredible streetmosphere to Disney’s Hollywood Studios for years.

This group of entertainers interacts with guests and is known as one of the most unique entertainment options around the Disney theme parks. We just received news that some of the actors from Citizens of Hollywood have been laid off.

Based on the Disney’s Hollywood Studios Citizens of Hollywood Facebook page, some entertainers in the group have been let go. The post explains that “the next round of layoffs is happening, and unfortunately at this point, some of the Citizens have been let go.”

We do not have official word from Disney on this yet and the group’s members “do not know if it is the whole cast, or what will happen to the Citizens in the future.” We do not have a lot of information on these layoffs yet, but we will keep you updated when we find out more.

Update: According to the group’s Facebook page, the 31-year run of Citizens of Hollywood has come to an end. They hope this group can return sometime in the future, however as of now all of the Citizens have been let go.
