We’re still shocked that some popular restaurants have not reopened at Disney World (come back to us Casey’s Corner!), but little by little more spots are starting to reopen.
Recently, at EPCOT Chefs de France in the France pavilion reopened, as well as Pizza al Taglio in the Italy pavilion. Now, a quick service spot in another EPCOT pavilion is back up and running!
As we made our way around World Showcase today, we noticed that Lotus Blossom Cafe, a quick service spot in the China pavilion, has reopened!
There are social distancing markers and arrows on the floor at the order and pick-up area indicating where guests should stand.
Some lanes were also not being utilized and there were plexiglass barriers by the cashier stands.
For now, it appears the menu has been reduced to two appetizers (the Pork and Vegetable Egg Rolls and Pot Stickers), and three entrees (Orange Chicken, Chicken Fried Rice, and Mongolian Beef), as well as some kids’ meals.
There are also fountain beverages, beer and wine, and those two unique ice cream flavors for dessert — caramel ginger and lychee.
Once you get your food, you can head to their covered seating area.
There, we noticed that some tables were marked as unavailable for use to maintain social distancing between guests.
There were also three tables in the center that were unavailable for use, again promoting social distancing for all guests while eating.
While we’ve had some less than fantastic experiences here with dishes like the potstickers and orange chicken, if you’re in EPCOT and looking for some quick service Chinese food, this spot is now available. We’d probably recommend you check out the China booth for the Food & Wine Festival instead though, which features a flavorful Mongolian Beef Bao Bun and Crispy Fried Shrimp!
