One of our favorite places to get a delicious frozen dessert is Vivoli il Gelato.
Vivoli il Gelato
Vivoli makes authentic Italian gelato, but they are also known for a very special treat…bombolato!
Bombolato is an Italian doughnut filled with gelato and believe us, you’ll definitely want to try it! We previously tried the Strawberry Shortcake Bombolato when Vivoli il Gelato first reopened and were SUPER impressed. This time, we grabbed the new PBJ Bombolato!

The PBJ Bombolato is made of peanut butter gelato, strawberry sauce, fresh strawberries, and peanuts in a warm Italian doughnut. Sounds pretty amazing, right? Just look at this beauty!
PBJ Bombolato
This one had us at peanut butter gelato, but it is so much more. This tasted like a grown-up peanut butter and jelly sandwich and we are HERE for it! The strawberry sauce mixed perfectly with the peanut butter and was very fresh. The peanuts added a nice crunch on top for a change of texture. The warm doughnut with the cold gelato was one of those combinations that shouldn’t work but totally does.

Overall, we were super impressed with this one! This is truly a unique dessert and we recommend this to anyone who wants to try something new. If you love peanut butter and jelly, this one is especially for you. We will continue to keep you updated on the latest gelato treats at Vivoli il Gelato.
