Ever wish you could live at the Disney Parks? It’s not like apartments on Main Street are for rent, but using Disney’s fun DIY projects definitely gets us closer…and now, the latest Disney Paper Parks project is getting a spooky twist.
Launched earlier this year, Disney Paper Parks offers up printable blueprints that help you build iconic sights from the parks, and all you need is a few simple supplies you probably already have at home, like glue, scissors, and a printer. It’s super easy and fun, and now, the collection of DIYs is growing just in time for Halloween.
We can already build the Emporium from Disneyland’s Main Street, U.S.A., along with floats from Disneyland’s brand new Magic Happens parade and a paper version of King Arthur’s Carrousel. And now, we can also build a few spooky elements from Disneyland, including some beloved Haunted Mansion characters, by simply visiting Disney Parks Blog and printing out the project sheets.
There’s a paper version of Disneyland’s front entrance gates, decked out with pumpkins and our favorite fab five characters, like Minnie, Mickey, and Goofy.
The printable DIY also includes Haunted Mansion decorations that we can use to decorate our own house, including a paper chain and a “Welcome foolish mortals” sign.
Our favorite part, though? The printable characters that can be used to create a shadow puppet show on the wall, including Madame Leota, the Hitchhiking Ghosts, and tightrope walker Sally Slater.
These DIYs are perfect for kids, but let’s be real — adults can have plenty of fun with them, too, especially those of us who are looking to bring a little Disney into our Halloween celebrations at home this year.
The Disney Paper Parks projects were originally created by Stephanie Jazmines and Amy Young, two architects and engineers from Walt Disney Imagineering Design + Planning Studio. That means these printables are the real deal, and since the pages say “Part 1,” it sounds like there’s definitely more spooky DIY fun coming our way.
