Review: Is This Soft-Serve Sundae in Disney World Still Bringin' the Pumpkin Spice?

Trick or treat? Well, if you’ve been spending any part of the day with us so far, then you know that Halloween snacks have started to take over Magic Kingdom a little early, so we’re calling for TREATS!

Headless Horseman Rides Again

Although Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party was canceled this year, Disney is still providing guests with a whole slew of fall-inspired foods. (For instance, you can check out the treat pictured above — the Headless Horseman Rides Again — right here.) But you simply can’t have fall without pumpkin spice, as far as we’re concerned! So we’re glad to say that Disney has brought back the fun Pumpkin Spice Soft-Serve Sundae to the snacking scene this year.

You can find the Pumpkin Spice Soft-Serve Sundae at Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies in Magic Kingdom for $5.49.

(And don’t you worry… we’ll be taking a look at that Pumpkin Spice Milk Shake soon, too!)

This festively fall dessert is served as a sundae topped with whipped cream, caramel, and sprinkles.

It’s look every bit the autumn treat with its vivid orange hue and sprinkles of ghosts, bats, and pumpkins providing some not-so-spooky effects, along with a little added crunch.

This is a change from last year when it was served with candy corn instead of whipped cream. That whipped cream is happily plentiful (yum!), but we do miss the flavor and unique texture of the candy corn as an “add-on” quintessential fall sweet.

That said, you really can’t go wrong with the pumpkin spiced soft-serve itself.

It remains a standout, just like last year! Those autumnal spices together with the sweet cream deliver all the fall flavors and vibes… along with delivering some chill from the ice cream while the temps are still soaring! And the caramel drizzled over the whipped cream is a terrific and tasty finishing touch.
