If looking at the new floats and checking out the costumes for Disneyland’s new Magic Happens parade doesn’t haven’t you psyched yet, maybe this new bit of info WILL!
And while the new daytime parade doesn’t kick off until February 28th, we’ve just learned some exciting new details about a Magic Happens dining package!
Before the new parade begins moseying down Main Street, U.S.A., you can now choose to enjoy a delicious lunch at Plaza Inn ahead of time! All Magic Happens dining packages include one lunch entrée, one beverage, one Plaza Inn credential, and one voucher that provides access to the parade’s reserved viewing area!
According to Disney, adults will be able to select one of Plaza Inn’s signatures entrées including, “slow-cooked short rib with chimichurri, chicken thigh fried to a golden brown, served with pesto-infused mashed potatoes, roasted seasonal vegetables, corn relish, and dessert.” Kiddos can choose from fried chicken tenders, mashed potatoes, corn relish, their choice of applesauce or baby carrots, and dessert as well as their choice of a small Dasani water or small low-fat milk.”
Vegetarian options are also available upon request. You can now reserve your Magic Happens dining packages up to 60 days prior to your visit online, on the Disneyland app, or by calling 714-781-DINE (714-781-3463). You’ll want to book your lunch reservations for this package between 1:00 PM and 3:30 PM. At the restaurant, you will receive a voucher for the day’s second performance of the “Magic Happens” Parade.

Magic Happens dining packages cost $40 per adult and $25 per child (ages 3-9). This is the standard price that we’ve seen when this location has offered dining packages for a while now! Tax is not included, but gratuity isn’t required since the Plaza Inn is a counter service restaurant and AP discounts do apply!
We love it when the parade’s about to start and we can just leisurely stroll to up to our reserved viewing area — THAT sounds pretty magical to us!
