We’re over here enjoying ourselves immensely at the 2020 Epcot International Festival of the Arts!
Running now through February 24th, 2020, this annual festival is such a celebration filled with stunning merch, incredible entertainment, and so much more — but who are we kiddin’! For us, it’s all about the gorgeous FOOD!
Aside from the Food Studios located throughout World Showcase, some of Epcot’s counter-service spots also like to get in on the festival fun! One of those places is the Refreshment Outpost between Germany and the China pavilion. Even when there isn’t a festival going on, this is a great stop to make for a Frozen Slush or Nigerian Meat Pie!
Let’s see what the Refreshment Outpost is bringing to this year’s fest!
Food
Refreshment Outpost will be serving a brand new vegan option for 2020! It’s a Plant-Based Bratwurst is served with a spicy turmeric aioli, coffee barbecue jackfruit, and slaw. Well here goes nuthin’! Down the hatch!
We were pleasantly surprised by the Brautwurst and would actually rate it higher than the Vegan Slaw Dog that’s served at Casey’s Corner. This option has a little more spice, which we tend to appreciate. And while we didn’t love the texture of the Jackfruit we thought it was a good plant-based option!
This is also where you’ll find the Paintbrush Churros (they were previously sold at Taste Track in 2019). They made our Best of the Fest last year. We love these little cinnamon-sugar churros dipped in colored white chocolate. But be careful, if you’re blessed with a fresh churro you may experience a bit of a mess. Our icing melted rather quickly!
And the Popcorn Pairing Flight has returned, but new beers have been added for 2020!
This year the Barrel of Monks Brewery Endless Enigma Golden Pale Ale is paired with Bacon Barbecue Popcorn.
The Collective Arts Brewing Life in the Clouds with Jalapeño Ranch Popcorn.
And the M.I.A. Beer Company Malt Bach Brown Ale is paired with the Buffalo Bleu Cheese Popcorn.
We think this is such a FUN option for beer lovers. The popcorn flavors are unique and tasty. And each the beers offered a variety of notes.
The Refreshment Outpost may be serving up the yum all year round but these two items are only available through February 24th, 2020 as part of the Epcot International Festival of the Arts. Check out the Festival’s Booths, Menus, and Food Photos Here.
And don’t forget to follow along with us as we report LIVE from the Festival of the Arts!
