While we’ve already taken you with us LIVE at the grand opening of the resort, we also gave you a sneak peek at the rooms, amenities, and MORE. And, now we’re celebrating yet again with a sweet opening treat!
The Riviera Resort Cupcake is bright, cheery, and FUN at the new resort!

The celebratory treat is a vanilla cupcake topped with vanilla and chocolate buttercream, a splatter design, M&M’s, and a chocolate “splatter” piece (it’s just too cute!!).

Okay, before we dive into our review… Let’s just take a minute to talk about how much we LOVE the look of this cupcake! While the wrapper either comes with Mickey or Minnie jumping for joy (’cause same), the actual frosting, M&M’s, and fondant piece almost resemble a party hat. Don’t you just want to get into party mode by looking at it?!

Even though the design of the cupcake is super festive, the actual flavors are pretty simple. The cake is soft and moist (just like we like it). Both buttercream flavors on top mix together very well, but it could have used some more chocolate tbh!

The added crunch from the M&M’s ties the cupcake all together, though, making it just a lil bit more interesting! So, even though the flavors line up with the typical Disney cupcake, they sure are tasty!!
Um, How Cute Is This Cupcake?!
We picked this up at Le Petit Cafe for $5.99 or a Disney Dining Plan snack credit! Although the design of the Riviera Resort Cupcake is super festive and “grand opening-y”, the cupcake itself is was listed as seasonal. Most likely, it will rotate with the other cupcakes in the bakery case (hey, we’re up for more cupcakes like this one!).
