Trick-or-treat, give us something good to eat!
Halloween Time in Disneyland is basically our favorite time of the year tbh, especially since all the treats come out to play in the parks. And, now there’s a spooktacular sundae filled with your favorite Halloween candy!
The Trick-Or-Treat Sundae Duo at Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor is kinda like your Halloween candy stash, but bigger!
The ice cream sundae is split down the middle with a sweet side and a sour side, and is served in a Mickey or Minnie Kitchen Sink for all types of candy lovers!
On the sour side, the sour gummy ice cream is topped with raspberry sauce, whipped cream, a cherry, a crackling candy cookie, gummy treats, and fruit candies — so basically, Sour Patch Kids, sour belts, Sour Skittles, and sour gummy worms!
If you love sour treats, this will be your ultimate ice cream DREAM! The ice cream itself is actually very sour and had us puckering with each bite. We loovved the taste and texture of the gummies with the ice cream and whipped cream… Buuut, the sour belts and Skittles both became extremely hard with the cold temperature of the treat, so they were almost impossible to bite into!
On the sweet side, the chocolate ice cream is topped with hot fudge, whipped cream, a cherry, and pieces of chocolate candy bars.
Specifically, you can find Snickers…
… Mini Hershey Bars…
…and mini Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups!!
This just happened to be our favorite side. The use of different chocolate candies reminded us of the excitement of getting home from trick-or-treating to dive right into the Halloween candy collected throughout the night. The chunks of Snickers on this side were HUGE (maybe an entire bar’s worth??) and there were plenty of Hershey Bars and Reese’s Cups scattered about as well. The candies added a nice crunch to the smooth ice cream, and each bite was incredible!
Just be warned — as soon as the two sides started mixing together, the taste got a bit strange. Make sure to plan out how you’re going to eat it with a friend before ordering! For double the sundae and the amount of candy, the $15.99 price tag is definitely worth it.
It was sweet, sour, and oh-so delicious!
