ShopDisney has introduced a new-to-us subscription service called Disney Backstage Collection that promises to bring behind-the-scenes merchandise right to Disney fans!
Backstage Collection
The Backstage Collection “invites you to celebrate the rich history of the Walt Disney Company” — and they’re doing that by delivering “top secret” monthly releases that invoke Disney’s “unique artistic assets.” Images from the collection include historic details like the Disney Bros logo and 4649 — a nod to Walt and Roy’s studios on Kingswell Street in Los Feliz in 1924.
Backstage Collection
Subscribers will receive a monthly delivery in a specially designed canister — including a Welcome Canister, the contents of which Disney says will change every six months. The current Welcome Canister will contain a Disney Bros Studio tee shirt, a coordinating pin, and a behind-the-scenes story card.

The subscription service has three different delivery commitments and associated monthly costs. The One-Year Plan consists of 12 consecutive deliveries at $34.99 each. The 6-Month Plan is six consecutive deliveries at $37.99 each. And the 3-Month Plan is $39.99 per month and comprised of three consecutive deliveries.

For the collector looking for extremely limited-edition Disney merchandise, lovers of Disney history and lore, or the fans of unique subscription services, the Backstage Collection sounds like a way to celebrate “long-lost backstories [and] major milestones” (plus score some fabulous Disney merch!).
