It’s time for some hot dogs — both a classic and one with a twist — at Disneyland’s Refreshment Corner!

Our “with a twist” is the current Elote Hot Dog! And our Disneyland Correspondent, Heather Sievers (@diningindisney on Instagram) couldn’t resist giving it a try.

As you can see, its arrival has been honored with a Celebration Button! It’s $11.49 and served with chips.

The toppings? Mexican street corn with chipotle mayo and cojita cheese are further topped with chili powder for some spice and garnished with a lime wedge.

The presence of the corn on the dog appeared minimal at first glance. But there’s a lot more than originally meets the eye upon digging in!

A touch of sweetness from the corn, and hint of citrus from the lime, some nice spice from the chili powder and some creaminess from the mayo. PLUS CHEESE. PLUS A HOT DOG. What’s not to love?

You’ll pretty much never hear me argue with A.) hot dogs and B.) elotes (or esquites), so I’ll be following Heather’s advice and trying it “immediately.” How about you? (P.S. She also stated that it’s “very sharable or not.” 😉 )

Of course, while she was there… why not grab the classic Mac and Cheese Hot Dog, too?
