Disney’s Riviera Resort
coming to Walt Disney World is currently accepting guest reservations for dates starting December 16, 2019. And we have more information today about what guests can expect to enjoy when it comes to the resort’s pools and additional features.
The feature pool will be the Riviera Pool, which will also present the S’il Vous Play interactive water play area featuring characters from Fantasia and inspired by the grand public fountains found in Europe. A “whimsical fountain” will be set within a patina and limestone-inspired design that will make up the area.
Lounge chairs, colorful umbrellas, and even a stone turret slide will all come to gather to create the “relaxing feel of lounging around the Southern European coast where you can soak up the sun.” And a nearby movie lawn will offer family fun, too.
Though Riviera is the feature pool, the Beau Soleil leisure pool will be surrounded by a “natural, lush-green wall” to create a semi-private pool experience.
More details have also been revealed for Bar Riva, the open air pool bar “with a cool, seaside vibe.” Crisp white tiles, blue accents, and poolside views will set the scene along with refreshments and drinks which guests will also be able to enjoy on the nearby pool decks.
A waterfront promenade will allow guests to stroll around the resort while taking in the Riviera’s European-inspired landscapes.
The walkways will also lead guests, of course, to the resort’s Disney Skyliner Gondola Station providing transportation to Epcot or Caribbean Beach Resort and on to Disney’s Art of Animation, Pop Century, or Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Again, reservations are currently being accepted for Disney’s Riviera Resort for dates starting December 16, 2019, with the official opening date yet to be announced. We look forward to keeping you posted on all the details for this new Disney World resort!
