The Magic Kingdom has surprised us with new treats joining Mickey and Minnie’s Surprise Celebration on March 1! We’re familiar with one that made its debut over Mickey’s 90th birthday weekend, but the rest are new, starting with the Mickey and Minnie Waffle Sundae!
Who doesn’t love ice cream when it comes with Mickey and Minnie (!!!) Waffles? This confetti-topped vanilla ice cream sundae is drizzled with chocolate sauce, and topped off with whipped cream and a cherry. Look for the Mickey and Minnie Waffle Sundae at Sleepy Hollow in Liberty Square. (Minnie makes an adorable waffle, doesn’t she?)
And two brand-new Minnie-Mouse inspired sundaes will be arriving at the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor on Main Street, U.S.A.!
The Minnie Sundae is two scoops of ice cream topped with chocolate sauce, whipped cream, strawberries, and chocolate cream cookies. The Main Street Split comes with ice-cream and a banana topped with strawberry and pineapple sauces, hot fudge, and chocolate cream cookies. Both sundaes will be Instagram-ready with their chocolate Minnie Mouse bow topper!
Tortuga Tavern will be home to the Mickey Confetti Pretzel — that’s a Mickey pretzel dipped in marshmallow fluff and topped with confetti sprinkles! We tried this when it was available during Mickey’s 90th Birthday celebration weekend last November.
The last additions to the celebration are the red velvet Mickey and Minnie Whoopie Pies at Tony’s Town Square Restaurant (a Table Service restaurant) and Columbia Harbour House (a Counter Service restaurant). The red velvet whoopie pies are filled with cream cheese icing (YUM!) and are topped with chocolate decorations.
Remember, these treats won’t be available until March 1! Be sure to check out all of the current Mickey and Minnie’s Surprise Celebration treats in the meantime — we’ve got the full list here!
