There is a world of new snacks all over Disneyland Resort for Get Your Ears On — A Mickey and Minnie Celebration! The event started today, and — as is the happy case for many other Disneyland Resort special events — specialty CHURROS make up some of the additional offerings around the parks for the occasion.

So we’re at Willie’s Churros in Disney California Adventure to try the Caramel Corn Churro.

Your classic churro is dusted with corn cereal sugar, then further topped with both salted caramel AND caramel corn.

The appearance is striking right off the bat! (So be prepared to answer questions from fellow guests asking where you got it 🙂 . ) But more importantly, the rather unexpected combo works! Not only is it a great balance of sweet and buttery flavors, but the texture — which is what we were most concerned about — is actually awesome! The popcorn pieces simply enhance the crunch of the outer crispy layer of the fried churro.
