It’s the New Year for the entire planet, but it’s not just us who feel like there’s always something new at Walt Disney World, right? Today we bring you some seasonal and creative offerings at the Port Orleans Resort, so you can ring in 2018 as it should be — with beignets.

Gingerbread Beignets, to be precise! You’ll find them (and their traditional counterparts) at the Sassagoula Floatworks at Port Orleans — French Quarter. But they’re a seasonal delight, so if you’re in the vicinity, we suggest jingling your bells in that direction ASAP. 😉

If you’re still in the mood for even more gingerbread, you can also pick up Gingerbread Pie at the Floatworks. It’s appropriately festive with red and green sprinkles.

You might find yourself looking for a little adult libation around this time of the year, and you’ll find a new Frozen Jack and Coke Machine at Muddy Rivers at Port Orleans — Riverside. (NEW. FROZEN. JACK. AND. COKE. MACHINE.)

If you’re looking to celebrate the new year in the French Quarter, you’ll find lots of fun activities for the whole family, including a Cajun Campfire, a Decorate Your Own Toast Glass activity ($5), and a Midnight Masquerade that goes right up till midnight!

To cater to your more creative side, Scat Cat’s at the French Quarter now offers a painting class!

The class is held on Wednesday evenings and is led by an instructor. It costs $35, but you come home with beauties like this one! So fun — and a super souvenir!
