There are not one, but FOUR new dining venues opening soon in Disney Springs: The Edison, which we have been anticipating for some time now, and the more recently announced trio of Maria & Enzo’s Ristorante, Enzo’s Hideaway Tunnel Bar, and Pizza Ponte.
While all four spots are anticipated to open within the next month, Disney has provided a sneak peek of the upcoming destinations!
The Edison
First announced for Disney Springs in 2015, The Edison is at long last in its final stages of preparation. What is said to have once been the power plant for the town of Disney Springs, the location still contains artifacts and pieces from its original purpose — as evidenced by the Boiler Bar and surrounding boilers, and the still-functioning clock tower — all contributing to the Industrial Gothic setting.
The Edison will be open to families and the kiddos every day starting with lunch hours and going into the early evening.
However, around 10:00 pm every evening, the space will be dedicated to adults-only (21 and over), boasting a unique beverage and dining menu along with entertainment “unlike anything else at Disney Springs,” according to Disney. Entertainment options are rumored to include aerialists, contortionists, palm readers, and DJs.
Pizza Ponte
Maria & Enzo are said to have once run a bakery in what was the Disney Springs Air Terminal. In the time since the terminal closed, Maria & Enzo purchased and transformed the location into three restaurants, the first of which was Pizza Ponte. Pizza Ponte made its start by serving Sicilian-style pizza by the slice to the residents of the waterfront town of Disney Springs, along with made-to-order sandwiches, and handmade Italian pastries like Bombolini. It was the success of Pizza Ponte which allowed Maria & Enzo to transform the rest of the terminal to include two other spots including…
Maria & Enzo’s Ristorante
Maria & Enzo’s Ristorante is the table service option in this trio of Italian eateries.
The vaulted ceilings of the former departure lounge remain as part of the main dining room, offering great views of Lake Buena Vista, which guests can enjoy along with Sicilian cuisine.
A second, smaller dining room will highlight the space’s history as a first class lounge.
Enzo’s Hideaway Tunnel Bar
Enzo discovered a secret after purchasing the closed terminal along with Maria. But the secret will be all out once guests are able to explore this network of tunnels, which formerly served as a secret speakeasy for bootleggers during the Prohibition era.
We can’t wait to explore Enzo’s Hideaway Tunnel Bar and the three other locations VERY soon, as they are all slated to open within the month and be fully operational in early January 2018!
