Doesn’t Mom deserve a little spoiling this Mother’s Day? Maybe it’s time for a Disney Day!
Personally, I think she’d be happy to spend a little time with YOU — and throwing in a Mickey Ice Cream Bar wouldn’t hurt. 😉 But if you’re looking for something just a little more special, check out these options!
Mother’s Day in Disneyland
For our Moms on the West Coast, there are plenty of indulgences to be had. Several restaurants are planning special items just to celebrate Mom. At Blue Bayou, enjoy a Seafood Pot Pie, made with Lobster, Mahi Mahi, Snow Crab, English Peas, Carrots, and Potatoes.
Carnation Café will be featuring Teriyaki Honey Grilled Salmon, served with Spinach Orzo.
Would Mom prefer to celebrate her special day with characters? Then head to Goofy’s Kitchen for a buffet breakfast or dinner, plus lots of special one on one time with your Disney favorites.
If you’d rather skip the Parks, PCH Grill at Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel may tempt you with their buffet.
Prefer to celebrate in elegance? Head to Steakhouse 55 for their prix fixe dinner, and enjoy Lemon Fettuccine served with a pan-seared Scallop, and Filet Mignon with Lobster-whipped Potatoes and Spring Vegetables. Dessert is special, of course — Red Velvet Cake covered in Chocolate.

Celebrate Mother’s Day in Disney Springs
There’s so much exciting change happening at Disney Springs. Celebrating Mother’s Day can be the perfect opportunity to check out some of what’s happening there! And two restaurants — Portobello Restaurant and Wolfgang Puck Grand Cafe — are sharing special menus in honor of Mother’s Day.
At Portobello, take advantage of a three-course, prix-fixe menu. Begin with a Spring Salad with Field Greens, Almonds, and Vanilla Vinaigrette. The main course features Grilled Salmon with Fettucine in a Citrus Reduction. Finish with Key Lime Cannoli with Blackberry Sauce. Florida meets Italy?! Love it!
At Wolfgang Puck Grand Café, they are also offering three special courses. Your meal starts with a Spinach Salad that includes Frisee, Red Onions, Chopped Egg, Almonds, and a Warm Bacon Dressing. Next, you’ll enjoy Seasonal Fish with Saffron Braised Fennel, Mussels, and Shrimp in a Lobster Tomato Broth. Wolfgang’s signature Apple Strudel, served with Cinnamon Ice Cream, rounds out the meal.

Chocolate Factory at Disney’s Beach Club Resort
Most moms that I know would love the opportunity and excuse to indulge in a favorite luxury — chocolate! And this Mother’s Day, Disney World is offering a chance for Mom to do just that, and for you to join in the delicious fun.
At Disney’s Beach Club Resort, you can book the Chocolate Factory experience. Billed as “a fun event for the whole family centered around chocolate”, it sound too delicious for words. Rich desserts as well as specialty drink for adults and kids alike will ensure a sweetly successful celebration. For details on the event, which will take place at Ariel’s from 1:00-5:00 PM on May 8, call 407-934-1470. The price is $38 for adults and $20 for children.
