The company has ended its “bags fly free” policy, as well as ended its open seating option for flights, leaving some fans with mixed feelings about the airline. Southwest is now offering a deal that might have travelers forget all about the big changes happening, but it’s ending soon!
There have been several reports of airplane incidents over the past few months, including engine fires and ground stops due to space launch debris. Now, another situation occurred at Disney World’s closest airport, Orlando International Airport (MCO).
According to CNN, a Southwest Airlines plane mistakenly tried to take off on the taxiway instead of the runway.
Southwest Airlines recently announced a ton of changes to its operations, including getting rid of its controversial open boarding process in exchange for assigned seating, offering premium seating options, and changing its rewards program.
Following Southwest’s announcement that it would be getting rid of its “bags fly free” policy, the feedback has been… unpleasant, to say the least. And now, Frontier Airlines is throwing shade at Southwest by offering free bags on select flights.
It can be challenging to choose which airline to fly to Disney World.
