News!! Rose Gold Ears Cupcake Has Arrived at Epcot’s Sunshine Seasons
Just in case you haven’t heard about the mayhem surrounding Rose Gold Minnie Mouse Ears in Disney Parks (on both coasts!), here’s the skinny…
The minute Rose Gold Minnie Ears hit Disney Parks merchandise locations, the shops could not — and still can not — keep them on the shelves! Folks spent time hovering online waiting for updates about their return and scarfing them up in numbers. You could say they’re kindofa BIG DEAL. [Read more…]
Review: Fried Pickles at Intermission Food Court at Disney World’s All-Star Music
Welcome back to Intermission Food Court!
Located in All Star Music Resort, Intermission Food Court shares a lot in common with its fellow All Star Food Courts: End Zone and World Premiere in All Star Sports and All Star Movies, respectively.
You’ll find lots of Counter Service classics like burgers, chicken nuggets, pizzas, hot dogs, and the like. And while you can find menu items unique to each spot and plenty of good grub (remember those super fun milkshakes we talked about earlier this summer?), things can start to feel a bit same ol’, same ol’ every so often.
Which is why it was a fun surprise to find a new savory snack at Intermission! I mean, what about those moments when you’re kinda over French Fries and chips? Enter: Fried Pickles… when you can find them, that is (more on that later).
These Fried Pickles are an option as a side for an entree, and you can also get them as a snack on their own. They come with six pickle spears and a pouch of Ken’s Ranch Dressing. [Read more…]
News and Review: Goofy’s Powdered Candy is Back in Disney World
If you have fond memories of strolling through your favorite Disney World Park as a youngster (or as a not-so-youngster!), clutching a plastic tube full of flavored sweet and/or sour sugar, you might be a Goofy’s Powdered Candy fan.
While powdered candy is by no means new to Disney World (we first chatted about this sugary indulgence years ago), the current incarnation of the treat is somewhat updated. You see, around a year ago, Goofy’s Powdered Candy suddenly vanished from merchandise spots where it had been a staple for ages: place like the Main Street Confectionery, Epcot’s Mouse Gear, and the like.
And then — just as suddenly — it came back on the scene to several of its previous locations (though not all… yet). Goofy’s Powdered Candy even showed up in places it hadn’t been seen before, like Zuri’s Sweets Shop in Animal Kingdom. BOOM! [Read more…]
Review: Falafel at Mr. Kamal’s in Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Today, we’re heading into Disney’s Animal Kingdom to do what we always do…
A little exploring, accompanied by a little snacking!
And once again, we’re going vegetarian, because that’s a particularly easy thing to do when it comes to snacking at Animal Kingdom. We’ve already learned, in fact , that the focus on providing above par vegetarian options will continue in Animal Kingdom’s upcoming land, Pandora — The World of AVATAR, thanks to a look at the full menu for Satu’li Canteen (the land’s primary dining establishment).
But today we’re winding down a well-traveled path heading from the Africa section of Animal Kingdom into Asia, with a visit to Mr. Kamal’s, which remains one of our favorite kiosks in the park.
Mr. Kamal’s kiosk has proven itself time and time again as a great (and convenient) spot to grab something quick, portable, and vegetarian. The current menu features Hummus served with mini pitas and veggies, Samosa, and falafel, to give you an idea of what to expect. [Read more…]

Review: New Mocha Brownie at Epcot’s Fountain View
When you stop by Fountain View in Epcot for your Starbucks fix, there’s a new sweet treat to try!
There are two ways to ride Soarin without a FastPass: groggily walk to park opening and make a mad dash to be first in line, or leisurely stroll into Epcot and stand in the hours-long line that’s waiting for you. So whether you make your coffee stop before or after, Fountain View will come in handy.
You can’t miss Fountain View on your way to the back of the park. It will be looking over Epcot’s amazing fountains directly across from Mouse Gears and right next to Club Cool.
Super VALUE: Cheesy Pesto Bread at Art of Animation Resort
We’re heading back to Disney World’s Art of Animation Resort today for another fun stop at Landscape of Flavors!
In case you haven’t seen all the buzz, this upscale counter service spot opened to rave reviews with guests. Billed as the next generation of Disney food courts, its top draw is the emphasis on options, choice, and customization for guests.
Recently, I found myself in need of a little afternoon snack while I was visiting the resort, so I decided to stop in and see what was new to me on the menu.
And right there between the Meatball Sandwich and the Create-Your-Own Pasta, I saw those three magical words. Cheesy. Pesto. Bread.
Um. Yes, please.
And then I realized that it’s a Disney Dining Plan snack credit option! What a great deal! I mean, that thing is pretty much the size of two french bread pizzas…it could easily be a meal, right?
It takes a while to make the pesto bread, since it’s not put together ahead of time and sitting under a heat lamp. I think the wait is worth it!
When I received my order, cheese hot and bubbly from under the broiler, it looked so much better than it did in the menu picture. I could really tell that [Read more…]
