You know it, I know it, EVERYONE knows it — it can get pretty hot sometimes in Disney World.
That’s when it’s time to down a nice frozen drink, like a refreshing Star Wars-themed cold brew, a nice Dole Whip Float, or a Frozen Viking Coffee. We just recently headed on over to Magic Kingdom to review a frozen drink, but this one is Monsters, Inc.-themed.
There are all kinds of souvenirs at Disney World, from things you’ll use every day at home to items you’ll forget about for years until you finally clean out your closets (not speaking from personal experience or anything😉).
T-shirts, stuffed animals, purses, balloons, bubble wands…the list goes on and on. And now, a popular souvenir is BACK in Disney World!
We’re in the midst of a hot, humid summer in Walt Disney World, and that kind of weather calls for a cool, refreshing drink! Disney has been showing off several new treats and desserts this week for World Princess Week, but we must interrupt our scheduled princess content to bring you a new slushy!
While we were in Disney’s Animal Kingdom this morning, we noticed a new drink available at a popular quick-service dining location on Discovery Island. Let’s take a look!
Here at DFB, we understand that some of our readers are on special diets and can’t always eat the things we eat at Disney World.

Orange and Raspberry Dole Whip Swirl!
But we want to help you in choosing some of the best food that you CAN eat, so we’re putting together some lists to help you choose.
We’ll admit it — sometimes we forget about certain dining and beverage locations at Disney World, especially if they haven’t been open for a while.
That’s especially true now that so many places have reopened recently, including Epic Eats and KRNR The Rock Station at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Harambe Market at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Our stroll around the world today had us sipping on a brand new spiked slush — a Troll Kreme. With a name like that you can guess we spotted this picture-perfect slush in Epcot’s Norway pavilion!
You know, a drink is always a lot more fun when it is topped with whipped cream…but was this Troll Kreme a delight or not?
Along with the debut of a lot of Christmas and Holiday themed food and drinks around the parks, we are also seeing the debut of some new “treats with character”! While we were in the Magic Kingdom for the first night of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party (can’t wait!), we stopped at The Lunching Pad to try out the new Space Ranger Slushy.
This Buzz-worthy 😀 layered slushy comes with a rock candy coated straw and is made up of layers of purple grape and green apple slushy.
Do you remember, by chance, how much we loved the Iced Coffee Float at Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies?
If not, then lemme tell ya. We loved it a LOT. But since there’s a new sipping spot/coffee joint in Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland with Joffrey’s Revive Coffee Kiosk, the offerings at Auntie Gravity’s (also located in Tomorrowland) have changed up a bit.
Now, don’t get me wrong. I think Joffrey’s Revive is a terrific addition to Magic Kingdom. But I have to admit I was bummed to find that one of the subsequent changes was the removal of Iced Coffee Floats from Auntie Gravity’s.
So, with that, it’s time to find a different sipper from Auntie (who still serves up soft-serve ice cream, too, by the way).
Fortunately, she still has a few tricks up her sleeve, as Auntie Gravity’s is one of the few spots where you can find Smoothies, available in Raspberry or Strawberry. [Read more…]

On a recent stroll around Epcot’s World Showcase, I paid a visit to the Spice Road Table Juice Bar in the Morocco Pavilion. It was a hot afternoon (no surprise there!), so I was seeking out the Chef-created ice cream to cool down a bit.
However, I noticed a few new additions to the non-alcoholic Oasis Slushies on the menu: the Desert Rose and the Tangerine Delight have joined the Royal Blue Slushie.
Since I was after anything cold at that point, I thought I would try something new.
Guests could previously find the Desert Rose (made with Pink Lemonade) and Royal Blue Slush (made with Blue Raspberry) at the Morocco Oasis Kiosk which also offered the Sultan’s Colada and the Moroccorita cocktails.
Since the arrival of Spice Road Table, that kiosk has been removed, so it’s nice to know that some – in fact, most — of those offerings are available at the Juice Bar (by the way, it’s a little difficult to read in the photo, but the price for a non-alcoholic Slushie is $5.99).
Tangerine Delight was new to me, so I decided to give it a whirl!
I am SO glad I did… this simple slush packs a TON of flavor. Everything you need to know about it is [Read more…]
