Disney World’s Lightning Lane Premier Pass may still be new, but it’s already proven to be incredibly popular.

The new skip-the-line service allows each guest who purchases it one one-time entry to each Lightning Lane experience in the selected theme park — but at a pretty hefty price. Still, that hasn’t stopped folks from selling the service out in some parks over the week of Thanksgiving — and on Monday, Lightning Lane Premier Pass sold out in every single Disney World park.

When Disney first debuted the Lightning Lane Premier Pass in October, we saw a lot of mixed reactions. Some people were looking forward to this upgraded way to skip the lines at the theme parks, while others balked at the price. No matter where you stand on the debate, it’s clear there is a market for this kind of pass. Just one month after debuting, the Lightning Lane Premier Pass is SOLD OUT on FIVE days this November.

Lightning Lane Premier Pass allows you to use the Lightning Lanes to skip the lines at most attractions in any given Disney World park — without having to make reservations and schedule your Lightning Lanes throughout the day. With this pass, you just scan in at the Lightning Lane — no reservation needed. And starting November 22nd, Disney World has announced a big change.

One of the biggest changes happened over the summer when we said goodbye to Genie+ and hello to Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass. This new pay-to-skip-the-line service completely changed the way that Lightning Lanes were purchased and booked, and in some way, the new system mimics its predecessor, FastPass+. Many people seem to glance over two other changes that were made with this new system, but they are essential to think about, especially when planning your trip!
A trip to Disney World may give you some of your favorite memories and be an overall incredible time, but that doesn’t mean it’s a flawless experience.

When Disney released the Lightning Lane Premier Pass in October, reactions were divided. While some welcomed the newest level of Lightning Lane as a welcome way to skip the lines at the theme parks, others bemoaned the high prices and yet another level of pre-planning. It seems that for now anyway, the debate has been settled by Walt Disney World guests voting with their wallets.

Disney World’s new Lightning Lane option has officially debuted!

In case you missed it, over the summer, Genie+ transformed into Lightning Lane Multi Pass, and Individual Lightning Lane switched over to Lighting Lane Single Pass. This change helped clear up some naming confusion and the new system mimics its predecessor FastPass+. Now, there is a third Lightning Lane option available, and some people have very strong feelings about it.
Since July, Disney Genie+ was tossed out and Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass have taken its place.

This newer service allows you to select 3 choices up to 7 days in advance if you’re staying on Disney World property, and up to 3 days in advance if you’re staying elsewhere. Pre-planning these selections has been majorly helpful for many Disney World fans, but then Disney threw another curveball at us. Lightning Lane Premier Pass debuted in Disney World on October 30th, and this option allows you to skip the line at almost every ride in one Disney World park once before for anywhere between $129-$449 per person per day.
