DFB Review: We Had Breakfast with Some Character BFFs at Disney World’s ‘Ohana!

Aloha kakahiaka (Which is good morning in Hawaiian.)! And we did have a VERY good morning recently at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.

We’ve had a longtime LOVE for the Polynesian and its amazing eats. Whether it be a Dole Whip from the Pineapple Lanai (they just taste better here don’t they?) or the Chocolate-Covered Pineapple from Kona Island, there is always something tasty to be found at this iconic resort.

But sometimes, you just want to hit a classic spot…with a little character. That’s right! We headed to one of our favorite restaurants and character breakfasts on property, ‘Ohana. This has long been a beloved character breakfast, but would it still hold up — especially with the addition of the new character Breakfast à la Art at Topolino’s Terrace at the Riviera Resort?? That’s what we wanted to find out!

Review: Dinner with a View at Epcot’s Garden Grill!

Walt Disney World’s Land Pavilion

is home to one of our go-to quick service spots in Epcot’s Future World — Sunshine Seasons — but upstairs from Living with the Land is one of my favorite underrated character meals: Garden Grill. It’s here, in a rotating restaurant, that diners meet Disney character friends, dine on some really great grub, and get a bird’s eye view of the attraction below. It’s truly one-of-a-kind.

Remember, at Garden Grill, always ask for a booth versus a table. I just think they’re more fun, plus your view of the Livin’ With The Land attraction scenes below is much better with a booth!

News: Rapunzel Character Breakfast Coming to Trattoria al Forno in Disney World

So we’re super jazzed about the news that a new character breakfast is coming this spring to Trattoria al Forno on Disney World’s BoardWalk!

This new character breakfast is a “bon voyage” celebration with Disney royal couples from films including Tangled and The Little Mermaid. That’s right…it looks like Rapunzel and Flynn Rider are finally getting a character breakfast!!

Disney Food for Families: Top Tips For Dining With a Baby in Disney World

Thankfully, Walt Disney World makes it pretty darn easy to dine with little kids. Meals for children under age three are free in many circumstances, high chairs are available everywhere, and healthier side dishes are now de rigueur in kids’ meals.

And of course you should know that with the one teeny exception of Victoria & Albert’s, even the smallest children are welcome at any Disney restaurant. Don’t even spend a moment worrying about whether it’s OK to bring your baby with you to dinner. It’s absolutely, 100%, fine. No kidding.

But while the restaurants are happy to have your baby on board, from a logistical standpoint, dining with a smaller baby can pose a bit of challenge at Walt Disney World, or anywhere else for that matter.
