You know, here at DFB we love talking about Disney food — it’s kind of our thing! So that’s why we are constantly in the parks trying new food and drinks, so we can report it back to you.

Hand-dipped Mickey’s Premium Ice Cream Bar with Chopped Peanut Butter Cups
In doing so, we get to learn a lot of Disney food and spot trends that are developing across Disney World. If you’ve been visiting Disney World over the last few years, you’ve probably noticed dining trends come and go. We’ve seen a big push toward atmospheric lounges, endless variations of the same comfort foods (looking at you, specialty chicken tenders), and premium glow-ups of classic treats like the classic Mickey ice cream bar. There is a new trend starting to develop, and for those of us who love small details, this is big!
There is no shortage of sweet treats around Disney World! From classics like a pineapple Dole Whip to newer favorites like the creme brulee croissant, there is something for almost everyone.

The Cake Bake Shop Restaurant
One of the places where we consistently find amazing desserts is the Cake Bake Shop Bakery. This walk-in shop has slices of cake that are what dreams are made of and drinks that we won’t forget anytime soon. During our latest stop by the Boardwalk, we stopped in to try not one but two new treats!
Y’all, we’ve got a little price situation in Disney World we need to chat about!

Neapolitan Cake
Whether you’re grabbing a Mickey-shaped ice cream bar, indulging in an over-the-top cupcake in the parks, or lining up for specialty treats at resorts, sweets are everywhere at Disney World. There is one place that really stands out to us, and while the desserts are delicious, the prices have drawn extreme amounts of fascination and criticism from DFB readers.
The wait is over! Disney World’s newest restaurant quietly opened recently!
The Cake Bake Shop opened October 24th, and we have been lucky enough to try the bakery, breakfast, lunch and the champagne bar there! This is an elegant dining location, perfect for celebrating special occasions. And now, it’s about to get easier to dine there.
