We know, we know… Back-to-School time is fast approaching (and in some spots, it’s already arrived!). But the lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer aren’t quite over just yet, so we’ve still got some summer celebrating to do!
And, hey, the coming of Fall isn’t so bad, anyway. Not when we’ve got our very favorite autumnal event coming to the first stop on our tour in a matter of weeks. That’s why we’re kicking things off at Epcot to see What’s New!
The 2016 Epcot Food & Wine Festival will be here before we know it! Sure signs of its return are starting to appear around the park…
… as in, like, literal signs 😉 . Even the Miniature Train display in the Germany Pavilion has received its annual decorations!
Have you checked out the full list of Booth Menus to start strategizing your noshing plans yet?! It’s never too soon… the Festival starts on September 14th! [Read more…]

UPDATE: In the days since this post first published, many of our readers have reported that the new price of the Refillable Mugs has rolled out to several more Disney Resorts in addition to the original locations named in this post.
Heads up, all! A few select Disney World Resorts have rolled out an updated pricing structure for the Rapid Fill Mugs — refillable mugs that provide guests the option to purchase one mug and reuse it for fountain and other drink station beverages throughout their vacation for a pre-designated amount of time.
The price for a Rapid Fill Mug has been $17.99 for length of stay, with lower pricing options available for 1, 2, and 3 day visits since the Rapid Fill drink program debuted in August 2013. And it remains in effect at several Disney resorts currently.
BUT…at Pop Century, the All Star Resorts, and Port Orleans – Riverside, the price is currently $16.49 plus tax for length of stay.
However, the 1, 2, and 3 day options are not currently available to guests, so essentially [Read more…]

What’s new in regards to eats and treats in Disney World? What’s changed? Have any menu items bid us farewell? Read on to find out what has caught our eye lately!
The Dawa Bar in Africa’s Harambe Village has moved and received a makeover! Check out the full scoop here.
And thanks to Avatarland, we bid adieu to the Camp Minnie-Mickey character greeting area. This space had two snack kiosks: one for funnel cakes and the other for hot dogs and pretzels.
You can still grab a terrific hot dog over at Restaurantosaurus… a Mac & Cheese Dog, to be precise! And those beloved Mickey Pretzels can be found in the Harambe Fruit Market (including the Jalapeno Cheese-stuffed Pretzel!).
Mr. Kamal’s (a kiosk devoted primarily to vegetarian selections) recently revamped the menu. Pick up samosas, falafel sammies, and hummus with veggies!
It’s worth scoping out Bradley Falls (directly across from Mr. Kamal’s), to see if it is open on your visit. It’s typically open during busy days, and the most recent menu showed that the Edamame and Asian Noodle Salad are options there along with a brand new Thai Coconut Soup! Check out some of these [Read more…]

Recently we visited the newly reopened End Zone Food Court at Disney’s All Star Sports Resort. Now we’re back to review one of the new features on the menu: the Create-Your-Own Burger Bar!
After a lengthy refurbishment, the new space was revealed! Featuring earth tones and a clean, fresh design, the food court maintains its fun sports theme.
While the theme is found in more subtle details now than it was previously, the element of fun is still very much present in the basketball court walls and the Disney characters who’ve joined in the mix!
Along with the new space came a revamped menu! You can still find standbys such as pizza, hot dogs, and the Best Chicken Breast Nuggets on Earth (*not the actual name, just my opinion 😉 ).
Today, though, we’re excited to share a review of one of the newest features in the food court: the Create-Your-Own Burger Bar!
First, guests have their choice of beef or chicken for their [Read more…]

The End Zone Food Court at All Star Sports has just reopened after a lengthy refurbishment — four months, to be exact! We were thrilled to be on the scene for opening day, and are excited to have you join us for a FIRST LOOK!
The first sight to greet you is nicely familiar… the entryway sign remains the same, so as to make the transition from the hallway seamless.
But in no time you start to notice that things have indeed changed, thanks in part to this sleek “Now Serving” marquee immediately to your left at the entrance.
Then things really kick into high gear! Gone are the primary colors and life-size cutouts of football and baseball players. In their place are earthy tones and clean lines.
The changes are most notable in the dining area.
But they extend throughout the Food Court [Read more…]
As we reported earlier on our News Pin Board, Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort is currently renovating their End Zone food court. And today we’ve got some pics of the state of things over there currently, thanks to DFB reader Galloping Gourmand!
From August 5 – December 20, 2013, the End Zone Food Court at the All-Star Sports Resort in Walt Disney World will be closed for refurbishment.
Guests looking for made-to-order food may take a bus to the All-Star Music or All-Star Movies resorts. Two motor coaches will run during mealtimes. Guests will board buses from the porte-cochere outside the lobby and will be dropped off under the porte-cochere at the All-Star Movies or All-Star Music resorts.
During this closure, grab-and-go food items will be available at the Game Point Arcade. Guests looking for arcade games may also travel to the other All-Star resorts. Let’s take a look at the resort map so that you can plan accordingly!
On my last stay at All-Star Music, I easily walked over to the All-Star Sports and All-Star Movies resorts by cutting through the parking lots. Of course, this would be less than convenient when trying to get your family ready for an early day of touring or after a long day in the parks.
And while the Team Spirits Pool Bar and the Pizza Delivery service are still open, guests are reporting [Read more…]
Get ready for some Mickey Waffle news!!
The Contempo Cafe has bid farewell to the small rectangular waffles that lacked a friendly face smiling up at you prior to devouring your morning meal.
Now, the Contempo Cafe will serve a large, friendlier waffle, just like the ones we recently lost at Sleepy Hollow in the Magic Kingdom!
That’s right! Even though you can’t find the giant Mickey waffle in the Magic Kingdom anymore, you can find him next door at the Contemporary Resort! Yay!
(Note, small Mickey waffles are [Read more…]

The controversy rages on over whether filling up previously purchased refillable mugs (and other containers) at Disney World self-serve beverage locations is advisable, but should Disney move forward with its new experimental system, that question will be invalid.
Mousesteps.com, Micechat.com, and StitchKingdom.com have reported that the new system, which uses an RFID chip to recognize whether guests are using an appropriate mug or cup to obtain beverages, will begin a trial period on July 18th at Disney’s All Star Sports Resort.
At this time, the RFID chip will be [Read more…]
