A Spaceship Earth LOUNGE is officially OPEN in EPCOT’s World Celebration as of June 4th, 2025. Get ready to visit GEO-82!

Disney shares the meaning behind the name: “The name GEO-82 is a nostalgic nod to Spaceship Earth—which opened in 1982. At GEO-82, you’ll be immersed in the storied history and enduring legacy of this timeless EPCOT icon.”

The lounge is located in the structure at the exit of the Spaceship Earth attraction, which sits behind the iconic sphere.

Dishes and drinks are specially designed for the location! Disney further shares that “Here, you can experience global flavors blended with culinary artistry in classic cocktails and small plates.” Be sure to check out the menu items and photos below!

Please be aware that GEO-82 accepts Advance Dining Reservations which are strongly recommended. Additionally, GEO-82 is exclusively for guests 21 years or older.

Oh! And the GEO-82 Fireworks Experience is part of Disney World’s Enchanting Extras Collection, where you can watch Luminous: The Symphony of Us from inside the lounge! Please be aware that — even if you do NOT participate in the official Fireworks Experience (which comes at an extra cost), the lounge remains open to guests! However, the seats right next to the windows are reserved for those partaking in the GEO-82 Fireworks Experience.

GEO-82 Atmosphere

Again, GEO-82 is is located in the structure at the exit of the Spaceship Earth attraction, which sits behind the iconic sphere.

You’ll find the entrance inside in back of the “Project Tomorrow” space (which is the area that riders exit following their ride on Spaceship Earth).

From here, you’ll either take an elevator or the stairs up to the waiting area for the lounge. 

As you enter the lounge itself, you’ll see how GEO-82’s look is inspired, as Disney shares, by the “stories, shapes, and enduring legacy” of the park’s icon.

The decor draws inspiration from “the ball’s” unique geometric sphere and hopes to offer a “zen space” to guests, filled with “rich textures and warm metallic tones, giving it a mysterious and elegant intimacy.”

It also offers a separately-ticketed fireworks viewing opportunity, GEO-82 Fireworks Experience.

Nosh or Not

This Disney World restaurant is a must-visit if…

• You’re looking for an upscale experience. This lounge is FANCY, and we mean that in the best way possible. The dining and cocktails are elevated, and the fact that kids aren’t allowed means you’re getting a sophisticated experience meant just for adults.
• You are a cocktail enthusiast. The cocktails here are expertly crafted and well-thought-out, and you’re going to find things here that you won’t find anywhere else in Disney World. It’s also fantastic to sit at the bar to watch the bartenders do their thing as they explain more about the mixology of each drink.
• You want to escape from park life. If you’re ready to get away from the whole theme park vibe and be somewhere that doesn’t feel like a theme park, this lounge is for you. It’s a little culinary oasis in the middle of EPCOT.

You should skip this Disney World spot if…

• You’re drinking around the world. This is not that. At all. These cocktails are pretty strong and could put you off other cocktails in the park.
• You like simpler cocktails that are sweeter and fruitier. Now you can get sweet and fruity options here, but these cocktails are more elevated and complex. If you’re go-to drink is a vodka cranberry, this is not the spot for you.
• It’s family day. As we explained, kids are not allowed in this lounge, and you probably shouldn’t ditch family time for fancy drinks. Of course, if you’re on a long trip with a large group…that point could be argued.

GEO-82 Fireworks Experience

The GEO-82 Fireworks Experience is part of the Disney World’s Enchanting Extras Collection (separately booked experiences such as backstage tours and special dining experiences), where you can watch Luminous: The Symphony of Us from inside the lounge.

This premium experience will feature a “tasting tower of savory light bites, sweet selections, Champagne poured tableside, and event-exclusive cocktails.”

This is an add-on experience, outside of the normal lounge. This experience costs $179 per person, and interested guests may book online through the Disney World website or the My Disney Experience app.

Why Spaceship Earth?

Originally envisioned by Walt Disney himself as the “Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow,” EPCOT first welcomed guests on October 1, 1982. And since opening day, Spaceship Earth has served as the park’s icon, in addition to being one of EPCOT’s signature attractions.

This beloved attraction explores the history of human communication as you travel through time by way of an Omnimover-style ride vehicle. Beyond that, though, Spaceship Earth is, in many ways, the heart of EPCOT. We speak here not only in terms of its location front and center of the park in World Celebration, but also because Spaceship Earth is an original park attraction that, for many Disney and EPCOT fans, encapsulates the nostalgia of the original EPCOT Center… which, by the way, has seen its fair share of changes, especially in light of the park’s recent historic transformation!

Please be aware that GEO-82 accepts Advance Dining Reservations 60 days out and will be exclusively for guests 21 years or older. The Disney World website also notes that Disney Dining Plans are not accepted at this location.
