Haunted Mansion fans, rejoice!
Haunted Mansion is one of the most beloved attractions in Disney World. Which helps explain why we’ve seen merchandise inspired by the ride FLY off the shelves recently. And while Walt Disney Pictures did release a film inspired by the ride — The Haunted Mansion — back in 2003, it looks like a NEW movie is now in the works!
With the obligatory set of ears, popcorn buckets, and lots of delicious snacks, a trip to Disney World (or even just a Disney shopping spree at home) can really add up!

We’ve seen lots of spots reopening around Walt Disney World lately.
But others are still closed. We’ve even seen some spots open, close, and then reopen. But we’re particularly surprised that three fan-favorite restaurants have not yet reopened!
Movie theaters have now started their initial opening procedures with distancing measures in place. Although movies like Mulan will premiere on Disney+ at first, other movies like Soul are still set to make their debut in theaters.
And now, merchandise inspired by the upcoming film Soul has started to make its way to Disney World before the movie’s November 20th release!
Erin McKenna’s Bakery NYC is located in Disney Springs and bakes fresh treats with vegan and gluten-free ingredients.
We heard earlier that the bakery was mixing up a new Sugar Rush Cake Bar this month. We thought this would be a great opportunity to see what’s fresh and do a taste test of ALL THREE of the available cake bars right now! We just love this time of year: from pumpkin spice everything (YES!) to all the wonderful decorations of Halloweentime, fall is pretty much one of our favorite seasons in the Disney Parks. So yes, we’re sad about Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween party getting canceled, but Halloween at the Disney Parks is NOT canceled completely.
We’ve already given you a rundown of what to expect at Walt Disney World this fall, but the Shanghai Disney Resort is also getting in on all the autumnal and Halloween fun. Guests at Shanghai will get to enjoy loads of extra entertainment and special events, all in honor of the spookiest time of the year.
While Disney World continues its phased reopening, on the other coast, discussions are still in the works on when theme parks, including Disneyland, can safely reopen.
California Governor Gavin Newsom held a news conference today, where a major update was announced for the state’s county monitoring system, which will go into effect on Monday, August 31.
