The Princess and the Frog is coming to the Disney theme parks in a BIG way!
We missed you, Tiana!
Splash Mountain recently closed in Disney World to make way for the retheme into Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Disneyland has yet to begin this transition, but the park will get the same bayou-themed attraction and a Tiana’s Palace restaurant. In the meantime, you can get your Tiana fix in other ways including through NEW snacks in Disney World!
Well, we’re in for MORE winter, at least according to one particular groundhog.
Looks like Elsa is going to be around a little longer this year
While we were getting ready for rope drop at Disney World this morning, the rest of the world was holding its breath to see if a certain groundhog saw its shadow or not (spoiler alert: it did). But part of the ceremony at Gobbler’s Knob in Pennsylvania also included fireworks — and during the show, we heard some VERY familiar music.
You truly can’t go wrong with a classic sandwich.
Earl of Sandwich
Sandwich lovers typically flock to Earl of Sandwich in Downtown Disney (Disneyland) and Disney Springs (Disney World) for a bite of classic, old-fashioned deliciousness. Disneyland guests were saddened, though, when Earl of Sandwich closed indefinitely in Downtown Disney in January of 2022.

The 100th anniversary is getting ready to begin in the parks, bringing with it new decorations, new food, TWO new nighttime shows, and more. On top of that, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, a new attraction for Disneyland, opens soon. However, things are going to be pretty busy on March 8th, too — meaning you may want to SKIP going to Disneyland on that day.

One of our absolute favorite spots to grab a bite to eat in Disney Springs is Jock Lindsay’s Hangar Bar, where you’ll find plenty of delicious eats and drinks to whet your whistle with, too. We just saw the return of Ariel at her Grotto in Magic Kingdom, and soon Belle will be back at Enchanted Tales with Belle, too. But, over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, a RARE character has been spotted out and about greeting guests — and we’re taking you with us to check it out!

Contemporary Grounds
We’ve already checked out Gideon’s Cookie of the Month (the Eternal Flame Cookie is back!). We also discovered one of our new favorite cakes in Disney World. We even had some AMAZING mac and cheese! But when we were perusing some goodies over at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, a certain MASSIVE donut caught our eye, so we had to try it.
A big update about the future of Disney World’s Reedy Creek Improvement District (“RCID”) could be on the way soon.
Reedy Creek
The RCID — which essentially functions as its own county and has given Disney a large amount of control over the land on which it operates in Orlando — is set to be dissolved on June 1st, 2023 due to a law passed by the Florida legislature. A spokesperson for Florida Governor Ron DeSantis previously indicated that he expects a bill related to the RCID to be discussed next week in a special legislative session and now we’ve got another update on the situation.
Although Encanto was initially released in 2021, it’s still EVERYWHERE in 2023.
