Sleeping Beauty Castle Decorated for Christmas
We’ve already seen tons of merch released and we’ve loved exploring the Festival of Holidays, which started on November 11th! Tons of new snacks also are now available around the parks, and we’re headed over to Disney California Adventure to try a very sweet new shake.
Many of us have been there before — you’ve been in a Disney World parks all day, snacking on popcorn and pretzels instead of sitting down for a real meal, and now the park is closing and you’re HUNGRY.
Disney World’s McDonald’s
Maybe you plan better than this in terms of food, but this definitely happens! Sometimes you don’t have dining reservations and you just want to go on rides while being fueled by popcorn. You might not even realize you can’t get a real meal anywhere until it’s too late, and all of the restaurants are closing in the parks, hotels, AND Disney Springs. So, what do you do? You get some non-Disney food! We asked our team, and here is what we think are the best late night food options near Disney World.
The holiday spirit is STRONG in Disney World. Holiday decorations are in the parks, Christmas trees are up, and holiday snacks have arrived.
Holidays at Hollywood Studios
It truly is the most wonderful time of the year! We’ve also seen a ton of holiday merchandise, but today, two NEW pairs of holiday EARS have turned up at the resort.

The parks are already looking like the holidays, we’re seeing SO MUCH holiday merchandise in the shops, and holiday snacks have officially arrived. Speaking of which, we’re trying out ANOTHER holiday treat in Disney California Adventure, so let’s get to it!

The decorations are all up, we’ve been to the first Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, we’ve bought holiday merchandise, and we’ve started eating a TON of new holiday treats (with more on the way)! Disney World restaurant menus had some regular changes this week, too, though, so let’s take a look at the updates!

The snow is on Sleeping Beauty Castle, the tree is up, the stores are full of holiday merchandise, and now it’s time for Disney Festival of Holidays! There’s so much to see, do, and eat at this festival, including shopping exclusive merchandise. So, let’s check out all of the merchandise available in the park!

Disney World is constantly under construction. Whether it’s new attractions being created, things being refurbished, or entire parks being transformed, something is always underway.
Port Orleans Resorts
Hotel pools also undergo regular refurbishments and maintenance. With that being said, Disney just announced that a pool at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — Riverside will close very soon.
Disney World recently closed down its parks and some hotels due to the threat of Tropical Storm Nicole. Since the storm has passed, the parks and all hotels have reopened — so what’s still CLOSED?
